Summer shape-up at La Jolla Sports Club

Experience what makes La Jolla Sports Club La Jolla’s #1 Health Club. The Club offers 23,000 square feet of advanced equipment, two class studios, spa services, his-and-her steam rooms, child care and over 60 fitness professionals. Each week, they offer over 85 classes for the experienced athlete and the novice exerciser including Spin, HIIT, Yoga and Pilates classes.

YOGA
La Jolla Sports Club offers Hatha Yoga, which integrates postures, breathing, relaxation and meditation; Vinyasa Yoga, which synchronizes movement with breath, linking the postures together into a dynamic practice; and Ashtanga Yoga (beginners and advanced), a traditional Flow Yoga practice that generates heat through a vigorous flowing series of postures coordinated with enhanced breathing to develop strength and flexibility.

CYCLING
Work up a healthy sweat with indoor cycling classes. Whether you are new to the sport or an indoor pro, they have the classes and instructors you need to get you to the finish line.

INTERVAL TRAINING
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) is an enhanced form of interval training, an exercise strategy alternating short periods of intense anaerobic exercise with less-intense recovery periods. HIIT workouts improve athletic capacity and conditioning, glucose metabolism and fat burning. Participants can expect a fun variation of cardiovascular, plyometric and strength training.

PILATES & BARRE
These classes are specially designed to get your heart pumping and your body moving—you will definitely break a sweat! Different disciplines include various styles of Pilates, Barre, aerobics programs, dance and much more!

ADULT FITNESS
These classes will introduce you to low-impact toning exercises that work on your balance while improving your spinal health and flexibility. Not only are they a great way to get started with a workout program, you’ll meet great people as well!

ZUMBA & DANCE
Classical ballet for adults focuses on barre and center work, while Zumba offers a fusion of Latin and International music themes that create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness system! Zumba routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. Zumba maximizes caloric output with easy-to-follow dance steps.

GROUP MEDITATION
Meditation lowers stress and anxiety and improves memory and creativity. A wide variety of practices will help keep you focused and relaxed.
