Roya Parviz has a big heart and a keen eye for fashion. From the day she opened Satori Designs on Solana Beach’s South Cedros Avenue, she has followed her vision to present customers with a stunning array of apparel and accessories while also giving back to her community. “I am always looking for artful, interesting pieces, whether it is in a mix of textures, prints, embroideries, or color combinations,” Roya says. “I incorporate pieces from local and international artists to curate an eclectic collection.”

She notes that with the easing of pandemic regulations, travel, engagements, weddings, getaways, and date nights are back and are cherished more than ever. “My newest collection is a reflection of joyful times and celebrations,” Roya says.

It is always a joy to step into Satori Designs. The shelves and clothing racks are filled with unique, colorful garments and accessories that have an intriguing story behind them. Often, Roya will pull out a robe or a pair of earrings and lovingly tell a customer about what part of the world it is from and how it was made.

Roya is equally passionate about working with local and national charities. She contributes by participating in many local fashion shows, donating items or gift certificates for auctions, and as a boutique vendor contributing a percentage of her sales to a charity. “I have met and befriended many remarkable people who have become my friends and customers,” Roya says. The charities she has donated to include Vista Hill, A New Path, Soroptomist International, Rady’s Children’s Hospital, and many more. 

“I am proud to be part of the Cedros Design District and grateful to the Solana Beach Chamber of Commerce for their support,” Roya says. “I look forward to meeting new people in my shop, and at our fun street events, soon.”
