Helicopter Holiday Light Tours
This season, visitors can opt for a bird’s eye view of San Diego’s coastal light displays with the new Holiday Light Tours from Oceanside’s Waverider Helicopters. Offered Dec. 8 through Jan. 1, the 30-minute aerial light tours highlight beautiful light displays along the coast from Oceanside to Del Mar. Passengers enjoy the experience in a luxurious Robinson R44 helicopter that seats three passengers and includes leather seats, heating/air-conditioning and noise cancelling Bose headphones for easy conversation with the pilot or enjoying the experience while listening to a custom holiday soundtrack. Tours run between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. everyday and require a minimum of two riders. Waverider’s holiday special includes a third rider for half price. Tours are $150 per person.
